The Find Community Connection Project empowers underserved youth in Brooklyn, NY, by providing professional development, financial literacy training, and community-building opportunities. Through partnerships and events, we aim to uplift our community and inspire the next generation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer Editor to assist with managing and refining FCCP’s written materials, including newsletters, official letters, and other key documents. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for clear, effective communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Edit and proofread newsletters, letters, and documents for grammar, spelling, and style consistency.
  • Ensure all content aligns with FCCP’s mission, tone, and branding.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance clarity, engagement, and overall impact.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide feedback on structure and content to ensure messages resonate with the target audience.
Qualifications:
  • Strong command of the English language and excellent editing skills.
  • Experience with editing, writing, or managing newsletters/documents (preferred).
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit communication is a plus.
  • Passion for community building and youth development.
