About Us

Great Achievers Social Development Initiative (GASDI) is a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Our mission is to bridge the gap in social and economic inequalities by providing access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

Our focus areas include:

- Education: Providing scholarships, mentorship, and educational resources to disadvantaged youth

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Board of Directors as a Director, Communication and Marketing.

Role Summary

As a Director, Communication and Marketing, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing GASDI's communication and marketing strategies to amplify our impact, engage our audience, and drive growth. This is a volunteer position that requires a minimum commitment of 10-15 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing plans to achieve GASDI's goals

- Create engaging content for various channels, including social media, email newsletters, and website

- Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and other stakeholders

- Collaborate with the Board and staff to ensure consistent branding and messaging

- Analyze and report on communication and marketing metrics to inform future strategies

Requirements

- Proven experience in communication, marketing, or a related field

- Strong understanding of nonprofit marketing and communication principles

- Excellent writing, verbal, and visual communication skills

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems
