The Greater Contribution is a nonprofit organization empowering some of the most impoverished women in the world. Through micro loans, hard-working women develop small, sustainable businesses to lift their families out of poverty. The Treasurer is an important part of the organization serving as a non paid Board member to oversee financial management practices. Attending board meetings once a month in person. Responsibilities:
- work with President, staff, to develop and monitor annual budget and expenses.
- present financial statements to Board
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations for non-profits and grants
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of accounting principlies
- Experience with budgeting and financial analysis, including use of Quickbooks online
- Passion for helping to fight poverty

We are an organization founded by women seeking to make a greater contribution to the world. We focus on raising funds and awareness to help women pull themselves out of poverty, knowing that when women are helped, they help their families and their communities. In our first 15 years of operation, we have provided over 18,000 micro loans to help women start small businesses and work their way out of poverty in Uganda, East Africa.
