Goodwill of SWPA is Seeking Online Classroom Aides for Adult English Language Learners!

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania

Goodwill of Southwestern PA is looking for individuals who enjoy helping others to make an impact in the adult learning community by assisting our adult ESL (English as a Second Language) instructors in their online classes. Interested individuals are encouraged to reach out to Ashley. You will fill out an application and schedule a time to meet with me, virtually or in-person, to discuss our program and the specific role you would fill, as well as the next steps of the onboarding process, including how to get your free background checks and how to complete the initial training. Having a background in English as a Second Language teaching could help but isn't required. Having a background as a K-12 reading instructor could also certainly help, though not required. If you're interested, but do not have any teaching experience, please still feel free to reach out. Must either have familiarity with or be willing to learn Zoom annotation, screen sharing, breakout rooms, etc. (It's not that hard! I can help you!) Volunteers ideally have their high school diploma or high school equivalency and a desire to help adult students achieve their educational goals! All Volunteers must live in either PA or one of the bordering states (NJ, NY, OH, MD, WV). Those interested can reply to this listing or if you have any questions, please contact Ashley Reilly, Education Volunteer Coordinator by text at 412-498-0412 or by email at ashley.reilly@goodwillswpa.org
