The Tanzania Teaching Foundation (TTF) is seeking a dedicated volunteer to coordinate our annual garden party fundraiser in June. This event directly impacts our English and STEM education program in Tanzania which helps young students transition to secondary school. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Executive Director and the Board to plan logistics, promotion and ticket sells, coordinating with vendors and overseeing set up execution and post event wrap up. You will be supporting and shadowing the current coordinator. This crucial role ensures the success of our fundraising efforts and directly impacts the students education opportunities.

Mission Statement
The Tanzania Teaching Foundation (TTF) began as and continues to be a mission of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. TTF is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities in Tanzania through a targeted education program. Our Pre-Form 1 English program enrolls students who are about to enter secondary school (high school), where the medium of instruction is English. The program gives students the necessary skills to succeed and excel in secondary school. The Pre-Form 1 English program is "teaching them to fish" - so that they will develop culturally relevant solutions for the challenges facing their society. TTF works to sustain long-term relationships with members of the Manow community and to enrich the lives of both Tanzanians and our American volunteers.
Description
Our Goals
* Expand access to education through targeted English and STEM instruction.
* Empower local teachers with resources and training.

* Partnered with local schools to share resources, enhance teaching practices, and strengthen community ties.
* Maintained a dedicated network of volunteers and donors who share our vision of empowerment through education.
