Organization: Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM)
Position Title: Social Media/YouTube/TikTok Volunteer
Location: Remote/Flexible
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

About Us:
Women of Color On The Move (WOCOTM) is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering women and communities through education, advocacy, and leadership development. As we prepare for our Silent Auction on April 26, 2025, we are seeking a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to help us grow our presence on social media platforms, YouTube, and TikTok.

Role Overview:
The Social Media/YouTube/TikTok Volunteer will help create dynamic, engaging, and impactful content to promote WOCOTM’s mission, events, and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, video creation, and digital engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
    • Develop and schedule posts for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to highlight WOCOTM’s activities, events, and impact.
    • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and tags to build a strong online community.
  • YouTube Content Creation:
    • Create, edit, and upload video content for WOCOTM’s YouTube channel, including event highlights, interviews, and mission-driven stories.
    • Optimize videos with compelling titles, descriptions, and tags to increase visibility.
  • TikTok Content Creation:
    • Develop creative and trending TikTok videos to showcase WOCOTM’s initiatives and events in a fun, relatable way.
    • Research TikTok trends and adapt them to fit WOCOTM’s brand and mission.
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and execute new ideas for engaging multimedia content.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies and maximize reach.

Qualifications:

  • Experience or strong interest in social media management and video content creation.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie, CapCut) and social media tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite).
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
  • Creative mindset with strong storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for WOCOTM’s mission and a commitment to uplifting diverse communities.
