THE ROLE

Protect Us Kids Foundation (PUK) is seeking a highly motivated and visionary leader for the role of Vice President of Technology Innovation. This is a Board-level unpaid volunteer position responsible for overseeing and advancing the organization's Technology Innovation Program. Reporting directly to the Founder, this position plays a vital role in driving innovation, identifying funding opportunities, and ensuring the effective use of technology to combat online child exploitation and empower youth globally.

The Vice President of Technology Innovation will provide strategic leadership for programs and initiatives such as the Global Youth Life Network, Virtual Training and Education Center, and Data Insights Dashboard, while also supporting the Foundation's overall technological infrastructure needs. This individual will also play an active role in fundraising, leveraging their network to secure resources, and ensuring the sustainability of the program’s mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Technology Strategy & Program Oversight:
    • Develop and oversee the strategic direction of the Technology Innovation Program, ensuring alignment with PUK’s mission and goals.
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technological solutions, including the Global Youth Life Network, Virtual Training and Education Center, and Data Insights Dashboard.
    • Ensure the sustainability and scalability of technology initiatives through strategic planning and resource optimization.
  1. Fundraising and Resource Development:
    • Commit to a fully tax-deductible annual member contribution of a minimum of $1,000.
    • Actively fundraise to support the Technology Innovation Program, including identifying grant opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and securing corporate sponsorships.
    • Leverage personal and professional networks to identify resources, funding, and strategic partnerships to advance the program’s goals.
  1. Innovation Leadership:
    • Drive innovation to create virtual safe spaces for youth impacted by online exploitation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with experts and stakeholders to identify emerging trends and incorporate new tools to enhance the effectiveness of PUK’s programs.
    • Provide technical guidance for the infrastructure that supports PUK’s mission, ensuring a secure and reliable digital environment.
  1. Advocacy and Awareness:
    • Represent the Technology Innovation Program in public forums, conferences, and events to advocate for online child safety and promote PUK’s innovative solutions.
    • Act as a spokesperson for the program, building awareness and visibility for PUK’s mission and initiatives.
  1. Board Collaboration:
    • Actively participate in Board meetings and collaborate with other Board members to ensure the effective governance and advancement of the Foundation.
    • Provide regular updates on the Technology Innovation Program’s progress, challenges, and impact.
  1. Program Evaluation and Insights:
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Data Insights Dashboard to monitor program impact, track trends, and inform proactive intervention strategies.
    • Ensure regular reporting on program operations, volunteer engagement, and community outreach efforts.

WORK EXPERIENCE

· Proven experience in technology innovation, program management, and strategic leadership, with a preference for international or global program development and implementation.

· Strong expertise in leveraging technology for social impact, with demonstrated success in youth empowerment and online safety across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.

· Demonstrated ability to lead fundraising initiatives and secure funding from diverse, including international, sources such as grants, corporate partnerships, and multinational organizations.

· Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across sectors, particularly within global and cross-cultural environments.

· Familiarity with online safety challenges, digital literacy, and cybersecurity, with an understanding of how these issues vary across international regions.

· Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate and collaborate within global networks.

· A deep commitment to the mission and values of Protect Us Kids Foundation, with a passion for advancing online safety and youth empowerment at a global scale.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Commit to a fully tax-deductible annual Board member contribution ($1,000 minimum).

· Must actively participate in fundraising activities for the Technology Innovation Program.

· Availability to attend monthly (12) virtual Board meetings annually and occasional events as a representative of the Foundation.

· Willingness to dedicate approximately 8-10 hours per month to program-related activities and Board responsibilities.

Protect Us Kids Foundation ( www.protect-us-kids.org) is a U.S. based, 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting youth worldwide from cyber-related crimes, so that they may safely navigate online. Our programs are centered on the unique cultural, behavioral, and societal aspects of rural and communities with limited resources, that have afforded criminals an increased opportunity to exploit children leveraging technology. Our programs align to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and support global partnership efforts towards combating human trafficking. Our programs include:
