Join the Adopt A Stream Foundation for this special restoration event- New Year, New Tree, where you can plant native trees beside a local salmon stream! This planting will include many of our Holiday Trees for Salmon. These trees will enhance the health of Quilceda Creek for generations to come!

Marysville, WA 98271 All are welcome at this planting event, regardless of whether or not you adopted a Holiday Tree from the Northwest Stream Center, all stewards and streamkeepers are welcome to join in planting native trees and shrubs, and restoring the riparian zone of Quilceda Creek to provide healthy spawning and rearing habitat for salmon! Please park in the main parking lot and look for the Adopt A Stream Foundation's white canopy. This is a rain or shine event so please come prepared in tree planting attire and closed-toed, water-proof shoes. Light refreshments will be provided by the Adopt A Stream Foundation. This restoration project is funded by a grant from Washington state's Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO). You can also RSVP by emailing aasf@streamkeeper.org or calling 425-316-8592.

Description
The Adopt A Stream Foundation (AASF) carries out its mission by conducting Streamkeeper Academy programs, producing environmental education materials, and providing local communities with stream and wetland restoration technical assistance. AASF headquarters are located on a 20 acre site in Snohomish County's McCollum Park. This location is also home to the Northwest Stream Center, an environmental learning facility with a nature store, trout stream exhibit and a 1/2 mile long elevated nature trail that winds through and over wetlands, dense forest, and two salmon streams. The Adopt A Stream Foundation always welcomes help from volunteers in several areas, including: fund raising, membership services, administrative duties, staffing for the gate house and nature store, plant yard and grounds maintenance, Streamkeeper Academy teaching assistance, and stream and wetland restoration project assistance.
