About The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI)

The Educational Equality Institute is a Norway-based NGO dedicated to fostering equal access to education and opportunities for underserved communities worldwide. Through our "Together for Ukraine" initiative, we provide free educational programs to support Ukrainians affected by the ongoing full scale invasion.

Position Overview

Join our Language Connect for Ukraine program as a volunteer language practice partner and help Ukrainian refugees improve their language skills through one-on-one video sessions. This flexible, remote opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact while working from anywhere in the world.

Role Description

As a volunteer language partner, you will:

  • Connect with Ukrainian learners through our digital platform for one-on-one language practice sessions
  • Help learners improve their conversational skills in your native language
  • Provide a supportive and encouraging environment for language learning
  • Share cultural insights and foster cross-cultural understanding
  • Set your own availability and schedule sessions at your convenience

Requirements

  • Fluency in English, German, Norwegian, or other European languages
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and device for video calls
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience and cultural sensitivity
  • Commitment to supporting Ukrainian refugees
  • No teaching experience required

Time Commitment

  • Flexible scheduling - you can adjust your availability at any time
  • Suggested minimum of 1-2 hours per week
  • No minimum duration requirement
