Adept Hospice Care is a hospice care provider, offering compassionate and expert care to patients and their families throughout the greater Los Angeles County to San Bernardino County regions. Our office is based in Rancho Cucamonga, and we are committed to enhancing the quality of life for those facing terminal illness by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Through a holistic, interdisciplinary approach, we provide comfort and support for our patient's heart, mind, and body.

As we continue to expand, Adept Hospice Care is seeking compassionate volunteers to join our team. With just a few hours each week, volunteers can make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients, families and caregivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required orientation and training.
  • Work as an essential member of the interdisciplinary team in various settings, including home care, respite care, bereavement support, and administrative tasks within our office.
  • Support patients and their families/caregivers under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator or contribute as part of the administrative team.
  • Serve as a temporary family/caregiver in the home, assisting with tasks, such as running errands, doing light housekeeping, and providing respite care to our patients.
  • Accurately document services provided to the Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Meet all health and safety requirements set by Adept Hospice Care.
  • Provide regular availability in alignment with patient and family needs.
  • Communicate openly with the Volunteer Coordinator and provide ongoing updates on your volunteer activities.
  • There will be additional duties assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Participate in quality improvement terms and activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A compassionate individual who is supportive of the hospice philosophy and comfortable working with elderly and sick patients, willing to serve others as a volunteer.
  • Successful completion of Adept Hospice Care's volunteer training and orientation program.
  • Previous volunteer experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work well with a team of healthcare professionals.
  • For home visits, volunteers must have a valid driver's license or a reliable mode of transportation.

If you're eager to make a meaningful difference and provide comfort and care to those in need, we invite you to join Adept Hospice Care. Become an essential part of our mission to serve patients and families across California.
