G&CS Advocacy and Rescue is looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join our mission of saving dogs from high-kill shelters and preventing pets from entering shelters. As a foster-based rescue, we rely on the support of our community to provide a safe and nurturing environment for dogs in need.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Foster Care: Provide a temporary home for dogs while they await adoption.

  • Event Support: Help with organizing and running adoption events.

  • Social Media: Assist with promoting our rescue efforts on social media platforms.

  • Fundraising: Participate in fundraising activities to support our rescue operations.

  • Transportation: Help transport dogs to and from vet appointments and adoption events.

  • Foster Coordinators: recrute and mentor foster parents, oversee individual dogs cases, point of contact for fosters

Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters in California, and place them in temporary foster homes until they are adopted, educate the public on how to be a responsible pet owner and how they can help their pet be in successful. the organization provides low cost to free pet and support services to low income pet owners.

the organization is a 501.c3 foster base dog rescue. we focus on dogs in high kill shelters at risk of being killed. we network and partner with shelters rescue and pet the public to create pathways that lead dogs out of shelters and into loving homes
