Program Description
CMMB - Healthier Lives Worldwide is an international, faith-based NGO providing long-term, co-operative, medical and development aid to communities affected by poverty and unequal access to healthcare. For over a century, we have worked to strengthen and support commu nities through healthcare programs and initiatives, the distribution of medicines and medical supplies, and the placement of volunte ers.
Position Summary
Physical Therapists will support CMMB’s mission by working with local communities’ health facilities to provide expertise , capacity building, and education to local staff. They will be responsible for a wide variety of services including but not limited to developing personalized patient treatment plans , carrying out patient assessment s/evaluations, and training staff as neces sary. Volunteers will advise patients and their families on facility-based and in-home treatment options and what to expect moving forward with the recovery process. Volunteers will ensure each case is handled with proper ethical standards and practices , ensuring the well-being of the patient.

CMMB has committed to develop 20 CHAMPS sites by 2020, incorporating at least 3 in Haiti, Kenya, Peru, South Sudan, and Zambia.
