Description

For patients on hospice care, volunteers play an essential role. Whether they’re simply being present with a patient or helping behind the scenes, volunteers help create trusting bonds and meaningful memories for hospice patients and their loved ones. Just as volunteers are important to hospice patients, hospice patients make service work rewarding for volunteers. Hospice volunteers provide comfort, compassion and care for people as they near the end of life.

  • Remote Volunteering Opportunities
  • Administrative: Support hospice office operations
  • Bereavement: Support family members who have lost a loved one
  • Direct Patient Support: Visit and support patients one-on-one.
  • Veteran Volunteering: Take part in Veteran Pinning Ceremonies and other special opportunities to honor our Veterans
  • Professional: Share a special skillset or credential you have with patients and families
  • Pet Therapy: Licensed Pet Therapy Animals needed (Must provide proof of certificates/accreditation)
  • Music: Sing directly to patients wherever they call "home"
