Position Summary:
The Mobile Game Developer will design, develop, and deploy mobile games using Unity for iOS and Android platforms. This role involves collaborating with the game design and art teams, programming gameplay features, and optimizing games for performance on mobile devices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using game development to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Mobile Game Development (Unity)
- Develop and program mobile games using Unity, ensuring compatibility with iOS and Android platforms.
- Implement game mechanics, features, and UI based on game design documents and team collaboration.
- Optimize game performance for mobile devices, focusing on memory usage, frame rates, and efficient resource management.
Collaboration with Game Design and Art Teams
- Work closely with designers, artists, and developers to bring game concepts, levels, and characters to life.
- Integrate art assets, animations, and audio into Unity to create an engaging and seamless gameplay experience.
Testing and Debugging
- Test game builds to identify bugs and performance issues, ensuring smooth gameplay across mobile devices.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues throughout the development cycle.
Game Deployment and Updates
- Handle the deployment of mobile games to the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
- Provide support for post-launch updates, bug fixes, and additional content releases.
Documentation
- Maintain clear technical documentation of the development process and code to facilitate collaboration and future updates.
Innovative Solutions
- Contribute creative ideas for game mechanics and features that enhance user experience, particularly those related to mental health and social impact.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Experience developing mobile games using Unity for iOS and Android platforms.
- Familiarity with mobile game optimization techniques and platform-specific challenges.
Skills:
- Proficiency in C# and Unity3D development.
- Strong understanding of mobile game architecture, gameplay mechanics, and UI design.
- Knowledge of mobile-specific deployment processes for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug across different mobile devices and operating systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with multiplayer features or integration of APIs/SDKs.
- Interest or experience in developing games for mental health, education, or social impact.
