This internship position is remote in the state of California. This role provides support to CORA’s team with a variety of on-brand graphic design projects like event flyers, campaign graphics, social media, and more. Audiences range from CORA’s clients who are survivors of intimate partner abuse, to donors, to the broader San Mateo County community. The intern will be provided weekly projects and will collaborate across the organization. The direct supervisor is the Communications and Marketing Officer.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Design visually appealing, on-brand graphics for projects such as event flyers, brochures, campaign assets, and social media.
- Collaborate with the Communications & Marketing Officer and other team members to understand project goals and contribute creative ideas.
- Assist with the development and execution of design concepts, from draft to final delivery.
- Maintain and organize design files and assets for easy access.
- Stay informed about design trends and incorporate fresh ideas into projects.
- Provide support for additional design-related tasks as needed.
- Participate in weekly virtual check-ins with your supervisor and monthly virtual staff meetings.
- Optional: complete a capstone project aligned with your learning interests by the end of the internship.

CORA is the only agency in San Mateo County with the sole purpose of serving victims/survivors of domestic violence/abuse. We are a multicultural agency committed to serving victims/survivors, regardless of age, ethnicity/race, financial status, language, sexual orientation, immigration status, class, religion, gender, mental or physical ability.
We provide free and confidential emergency, intervention and prevention services, including the county's only emergency shelter and transitional housing for victims/survivors and services in Spanish and English.
