Mentoring Session In Action

SCORE NYC is seeking skilled Intellectual Property (IP) law professionals to volunteer as mentors and help small business owners protect their innovations and brands. As a SCORE mentor, you will guide entrepreneurs in understanding and navigating the complexities of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.

Role Overview:

We are looking for IP experts to assist small businesses with:

  • Brand Protection: Advising on the steps necessary to safeguard trademarks, logos, and branding assets.
  • Patents: Helping businesses protect their inventions, processes, or technologies.
  • Copyrights: Providing guidance on protecting creative works like written materials, software, and artwork.
  • IP Strategy: Offering strategic advice on leveraging intellectual property to drive business growth and avoid infringement.

As a mentor, you will provide one-on-one consultations and valuable insights to help businesses avoid costly mistakes and position themselves for long-term success.
