Volunteer for WAFA (Water Air Food Awards)

WAFA is a volunteer-based NGO headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Our main activities are to identify, recognize and reward community initiatives that address basic needs and collaborate with nature. In doing so, we give a voice to otherwise unknown and unsung heroes.

We are looking for an exceptional graphic designer. As a graphic designer, you will be responsible for developing visually compelling designs that tell our story and showcase our ambition and vision. You will create visual content that communicates our strategy, helping us connect with our audience and inspire action.

Key responsibilities:

Conceptualize and design visuals based on requirements: Work closely with teams to develop creative concepts and designs for various media platforms that align with WAFA's branding and messaging. Collaborate to translate our history, vision and mission into visually compelling narratives. Translate designs into various visual elements to suit different digital platforms/media

Content Integration: Work with delivered content, including text, images, and graphics, to create polished and professional content. Review layouts and suggest improvements that deliver high-quality solutions

Validate design: Validate design with multiple stakeholders, ensuring integration of WAFA strategy and visual design concepts that represent our mission consistently across platforms

Creative Input: Provide creative insights and suggestions based on your experience to improve the impact, quality, and efficiency of project designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams

We expect you to:

  • Have documented experience in graphic design or related fields
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and innovative thinking
  • Have an eye for detail with an open and creative mind!
  • Be fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Have availability of a minimum of 8-10 hours per week

It goes without saying that you enjoy working with people, are a team player, self-driven and well-organized.

You will be working remotely and will require access to a computer with a fast internet connection. We communicate via emails, video calls and WhatsApp.
