Snyder Guard Station is a former Forest Service work site that has been converted to a recreation rental. It is located on the banks of the Moyie River 8 miles south of the Canadian border. The site is very popular and is rented from May 1 through mid-October. The host duties include greeting renters and explaining rules and answering questions, cleaning between groups, and watering and mowing the lawns. The host(s) get to live in a one bedroom house on site, built in 2006.
