Igniting a love for reading, one student at a time!
Since 2008, Reading Champions has proudly stood as Greenwich’s largest volunteer-powered early literacy program. In partnership with Greenwich Public Schools, we’re on a mission to empower young learners by boosting their reading fluency and building their confidence, one word at a time.
What Makes Reading Champions Impactful?Changing Lives: With one hour a week you can make a difference too. Nearly 400 students benefit annually from personalized, one-on-one tutoring sessions
A Community Effort: Over 120 dedicated volunteers inspire young minds across all 11 Greenwich public elementary schools and 4 vibrant after-school programs:
Focused Support: Providing weekly, dedicated reading sessions for grades K-Fifth, to build essential literacy skills.
Builds Confidence: Our program improves fluency, enhances comprehension and inspires academic success for a lifetime.
Empowers Volunteers: We equip our team with the tools, training, and support needed to make a meaningful difference.
