Would you like to empower our youth and inspire them to enter your field of Sports Management?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled professional to provide introductory courses and training on the Sports Management field to our high school students (Grade 10 - 12). This course will help our students develop traditional management skills and learn to apply them to professional and amateur sports settings.
Role:
- Game Plan Guru: Lead exciting virtual lessons that introduce students to the world of sports management! From team dynamics and event planning to marketing and sponsorships, you’ll teach students how to manage a successful sports operation.
- Strategy Specialist: Help students understand the business side of sports by exploring essential topics like sports marketing, media relations, and the role of managers in professional athletics. You’ll show them how to make informed decisions and develop winning strategies.
- Interactive Learning Leader: Lead engaging and interactive virtual sessions where students can actively participate in case studies, sports simulations, and team-building exercises. They’ll walk away feeling like they’ve already started their career in sports management!
- Event Planning Extraordinaire: Teach students how to organize sports events, from local tournaments to big leagues. Students will learn how to handle logistics, plan game schedules, and understand the financial side of managing sports events.
- Marketing & Branding Mentor: Guide students through the world of sports marketing, helping them understand how to promote teams, create memorable fan experiences, and attract sponsorship deals.
- Teamwork & Leadership Coach: Show students how sports management requires teamwork, leadership, and excellent communication skills. Students will work together on projects and discuss real-world scenarios to sharpen their management abilities.
- Performance Analyzer: Monitor and assess student progress by reviewing their project work, participation, and understanding of key concepts. Provide feedback that helps them refine their skills in sports management.
- Creative Class Projects: Encourage students to develop and pitch their own sports-related projects, whether it’s organizing a tournament, creating a marketing campaign, or designing a business plan for a sports team.
- Virtual Showcase: Prepare students for a virtual presentation where they can showcase their sports management skills by presenting their final projects to the class or even to guest speakers from the industry.
- Parent Communication: Keep parents informed about student progress, class activities, and how they can support their child’s interest in sports management outside the classroom.
- Classroom Organizer: Ensure smooth virtual sessions by managing schedules, tracking assignments, and organizing class materials. You’ll keep everything running like a well-coached team!
Qualifications:
- Sports Management Knowledge: A solid understanding of the sports industry, including marketing, event planning, media relations, and team management. If you’re passionate about sports and its business side, this role is for you!
- Virtual Teaching Experience: Comfortable with virtual platforms and tools, you know how to engage students in online classes while making learning fun and interactive.
- Organized & Strategic: Able to break down complex concepts into digestible pieces and help students apply them to real-world sports management scenarios.
- Creative Problem Solver: You love brainstorming creative ideas for sports marketing campaigns, event planning, and team management projects that get students excited about the field.
- Mentorship & Communication: Skilled at providing constructive feedback and motivating students to think critically about sports management and their role in it.
Skills:
- Virtual Classroom Management: Strong skills in managing virtual class dynamics, ensuring that students stay engaged, participate, and learn from each other.
