Join Our Mission: Assistant Director of Aviation (Volunteer Position)
Eagles Nest Projects Wisconsin is searching for a passionate and dedicated Assistant Director of Aviation to join our growing team! If you have a love for aviation and a drive to inspire and mentor the next generation of aviators, this role is for you.

About the Role

This volunteer position requires approximately 10 hours per week and offers the unique opportunity to work hands-on in a dynamic aviation-focused program. As Assistant Director of Aviation, you will play a critical role in shaping the experiences of our students and furthering our mission to promote youth involvement in STEM and aviation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with Students: Work directly with high school students, teaching foundational aviation concepts and providing mentorship. Inspire their curiosity and interest in aviation careers.
  • Support Aircraft Build Days: Assist in organizing and supervising aircraft construction projects, ensuring a safe and productive environment for students.
  • Program Operations: Work alongside leadership to plan and execute program activities, including hands-on workshops, flight experiences, and classroom sessions.
  • Community Outreach: Promote youth aviation initiatives by engaging with local schools, organizations, and community events to raise awareness and attract students to our programs.
  • Fundraising and Events: Assist with planning and supporting fundraising activities such as open hangar events, sponsorship drives, and other initiatives that help sustain and grow our program.
  • Share Your Knowledge: Use your aviation expertise and experiences to motivate and guide students, showing them the incredible opportunities available in the world of aviation.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • A passionate individual with experience or a strong interest in aviation (pilots, mechanics, enthusiasts, or aviation educators are all welcome!).
  • Someone with excellent communication and leadership skills, who enjoys working with young people.
  • A reliable team player who is committed to helping students succeed.
  • A Southeast Wisconsin local who can work on-site at Burlington, Wisconsin Airport.
