Are you passionate about supporting neurodivergent children and their families? Extreme Kids & Crew (EKC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating inclusive play spaces, community programs, and creative opportunities that celebrate neurodiversity. Through our work, we foster joy, belonging, and connection for children and their families.
If you’re curious about how you can get involved, join one of our virtual Information Sessions, held twice a week on Zoom! During these sessions, you’ll:
- Learn about EKC’s mission, programs, and the communities we serve.
- Discover the various volunteer opportunities available, from helping at our weekly club programs to assisting with events and behind-the-scenes support.
- Hear inspiring stories about the impact volunteers like you make every day.
- Have the chance to ask questions and explore how your unique skills can contribute to our work.
Whether you’re new to volunteering or a seasoned supporter of nonprofits, these sessions are a great way to see how you can help create a more inclusive world for neurodivergent children and their families.

About Extreme Kids and Crew
Location:
145 Brooklyn Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11213, US
Mission Statement
Extreme Kids & Crew combats the stress and isolation faced by children with disabilities and their families through play, arts and movement programming, partnerships with cultural and therapeutic institutions, parent meet-ups and more. Our goal is to join with other organizations to fund a flagship center where architects and designers can show off what a truly inclusive building would look like. The building would serve artists, musicians, doctors, healers, thinkers and researchers, allowing them to learn and be inspired by children who think, feel, and move in unique and sometimes startling ways. Most importantly, the building would serve as a second home and community base for families of children with disabilities. These families are in deep need of beautiful public spaces where every member feels welcome and accepted.
Description
Extreme Kids and Crew creates programming for kids with special needs and their families and friends. We have two locations. CAP House is located in the Crispus Attucks Playground in Brooklyn and is a play space with sensory equipment for children ages 4 and under as well as home to a home school co-op for kids with special needs. AMP Space is located at PS 15 in Red Hook Brooklyn and is home to our offices, plus a nice sensory gym. AMP is the location of open play Saturdays and Sundays plus a wide range of classes and programming in art, music, movement and play.
