Role:
Creative Mastermind: Lead exciting virtual art sessions where students learn to draw using both traditional and digital tools and unleash their creativity! Help them explore various drawing techniques, from sketching and shading to coloring and character design.
Art Teacher Extraordinaire: Guide students through the basics of drawing and beyond, focusing on skills like proportions, perspective, and composition, all in a fun, easy-to-understand way.
Inspiring Artistic Expression: Encourage students to think outside the box and express their unique artistic voice. You’ll create a space where imagination runs wild and every student feels empowered to create their own masterpiece.
Interactive Drawing Lessons: Lead hands-on, interactive sessions that keep students engaged as they follow along with your live demonstrations. Whether it's drawing still life or illustrating their favorite characters, you’ll make every lesson a fun artistic adventure!
Personalized Artistic Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to help students refine their techniques and develop their artistic style. Celebrate their progress and help them tackle any challenges they encounter along the way.
Creative Project Leader: Design fun, imaginative drawing projects that keep students excited to pick up their pencils or digital tablets. From drawing self-portraits to designing fictional creatures, you’ll make each project engaging and rewarding.
Collaborative Art Community: Foster a positive, inclusive space where students can share their artwork with others, provide feedback to their peers, and collaborate on creative projects.
Virtual Art Showcase: Help students prepare for a virtual art exhibition to showcase their work. You’ll guide them in putting together their best pieces for a fun and celebratory final presentation.
Parent Art Guide: Keep parents updated on their child's artistic journey, sharing progress and offering tips on how they can support their budding artist at home.
Organized Art Leader: Maintain detailed lesson plans, track student attendance, and manage art project submissions to ensure each session runs smoothly and every student receives the guidance they need.
Qualifications:
Art & Drawing Experience: A passion for drawing and a strong foundation in art techniques. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a creative enthusiast, you’re excited to share your love of drawing with students.
Virtual Teaching Skills: Comfortable using virtual platforms to teach art, demonstrate drawing techniques, and engage students with digital tools. You’ll bring art to life online!
Creative Instructor: Ability to design exciting and interactive drawing lessons that cater to a variety of skill levels. You can inspire students to take on new challenges and create original art.
Patience and Encouragement: You know that every artist develops at their own pace, so you're patient, supportive, and always ready with positive reinforcement to help students succeed.

About I’RAISE: I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation, founded in the heart of the North Bronx in 2012, began as a mentoring program for at-risk female youth living in New York City Authority Housing. Under the visionary leadership of CEO Shanequa Moore, the organization quickly expanded its reach and impact. Shanequa, a Bronx native who overcame poverty and significant life challenges, was inspired to give back to her community, creating a resilient organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and youth.
