The person:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Fundraising Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ACT Foundation’s mission and work with a dedicated team to expand our donor base.
Role of the Fundraising Coordinator:
Under the supervision of the Chairperson, you will play a crucial role in supporting ACT Foundation's fundraising efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to develop a Fundraising Strategy for ACT Foundation Sri Lanka
- Conduct a funder mapping to identify potential funding opportunities for ACT Foundation’s program areas of intervention
- Plan and carry out fundraising activities including grant writing
- Work with the communications team to ensure that all current donors are recognized for their support and well-informed of progress on the ground through timely and relevant reports/updates
- Lead the planning of fundraising events and campaigns across the countries where potential funders and donors are interested in supporting ACT Foundation’s initiatives
- Ensure that fundraising practices reflect the values and guiding principles of ACT Foundation
- Network and forge links with potential donors, companies, trusts, foundations, universities, schools and other supporters
Requirements:
- Passion for social causes and a strong commitment to ACT Foundation's mission.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience in fundraising or a related field is preferred.
