We offer families a "Comfort Cart" when a loved one is at end-of-life. The cart contains items such as - but not limited to- rosaries, tea lights, book marks for fingerprints of the loved one, sachets to keep a lock of hair, prayer rocks, and a handmade blanket to place on the loved one during their final time. A family member may then take the blanket home and any of the momentos offered.
We are looking for individuals who can crochet, knit, or quilt small lap blankets - approximately 36"x 48". Blankets can be any color or style.
This is an on-going need.

Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City and Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center in Sun City West offer you an opportunity to apply for a wide variety of interesting and rewarding volunteer positions. Our volunteers range in age from 15 to over 100, but all share the desire to give back to the community by helping their hospitalized neighbors, patient families, physicians and our staff. Volunteers commit to an initial background check, health screen and orientation training, and agree to serve at least one four-hour shift per week on an ongoing basis.
