We're looking for a talented and conscientious volunteer board member to lead and strengthen our programs for children and youth in foster care. If you can contribute your time, thoughtfulness, and leadership for approximately 2-5 hours a week, and are interested in exploring this opportunity, email us your contact information to schedule a phone conversation.
As Charlotte Angels continues to grow, more fundraising dollars will be needed to reach our goals. The Grant Researcher will work with Grant Writer to create a Grant Calendar and research potential grants locally and nationwide. May assist in preparation of grant applications, but primary focus will be on researchinggrant opportunities in order to procure funds for operating expenses and specific projects/campaigns.
Grant Researcher
- Must be passionate about our mission!
- Must commit to one year of service as a board member.
- Must attend 75% of board meetings.

Mission Statement
The Charlotte Angels mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.
Description
We provide support to foster families and children in our community. Over half of foster homes close within the first year due to the lack of support. Not only do the children experience the initial trauma of being removed from their home, but they then experience another layer of trauma if they are forced to move to another home or homes. We step in to make sure these homes can stay open, providing stability and consistency. Without community support, we can’t match families with assistance or meet their needs.
Our organization offers two main programs:
Our Love Box program matches a volunteer in the community with a foster family.
Our Dare to Dream mentorship program matches a mentor with a youth in foster who is at risk of aging out of the system.
