The PostBaby Bliss Foundation is a startup nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting postpartum families through education, resources, and compassionate care. Our mission is to empower parents during the postpartum period by fostering a community of support and offering programs that prioritize maternal and family well-being. Position Summary

The PostBaby Bliss Foundation is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Development to lead our fundraising and grant-writing efforts. This key leadership role is responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive strategies to secure the financial resources necessary to sustain and grow our programs. The ideal candidate is a passionate and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in fundraising, grant writing, and building donor relationships.

As a member of the leadership team, the Director of Development will work closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders to align development efforts with the Foundation’s mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Fundraising Strategy & Execution

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and special events.

    • Set and achieve annual fundraising goals in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundations.

  2. Grant Writing & Management

    • Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the Foundation’s mission and programs.

    • Write and submit compelling grant proposals and reports to foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

    • Maintain a grants calendar to ensure timely submissions and compliance with reporting requirements.

  3. Donor Stewardship

    • Develop and oversee donor recognition and engagement strategies to foster long-term relationships.

    • Manage donor databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective communication.

  4. Collaboration & Leadership

    • Partner with the Executive Director to align development initiatives with the Foundation’s strategic priorities.

    • Work closely with the Marketing Director to create campaigns that raise awareness and drive donor engagement.

    • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff and volunteers involved in fundraising efforts.

  5. Special Events & Campaigns

    • Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and peer-to-peer campaigns.

    • Oversee annual giving campaigns, such as Giving Tuesday and end-of-year appeals.

  6. Reporting & Metrics

    • Track and analyze fundraising data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.

    • Prepare regular reports for the Executive Director and Board of Directors on fundraising progress.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or development roles.

    • Proven track record of securing major gifts, grants, and sponsorships.

    • Experience managing donor relationships and using donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Salesforce).

  • Skills:

    • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling grant proposals and donor communications.

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.

    • Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising best practices and legal compliance.

Time Commitment
  • Flexible schedule with an average commitment of 15-20 hours per week (for part-time/volunteer roles)

  • Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed for fundraising efforts.

Through charitable programs, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives, the Foundation aims to Promote Maternal and Infant Health through free or subsidized postpartum care, mental health support, and recovery resources, to underserved families. We also aim to educate and empower parents, advance awareness and advocacy, facilitate research and innovation, and foster community connections.
