Recruiting Organization: Hostelling International USA (HI USA)
HI Santa Monica hostel is looking for volunteers that are interested in creating and leading a walking tour of their favorite Los Angeles neighborhood! Give our guests the opportunity to learn more about this city's unique history and culture, and meet travelers from around the world!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of hostellers on a pre-planned walking tour
- Give historical and cultural context about different points of interest

- Meet new people from all over the world, including travelers, staff, and fellow volunteers
- Help bring people together and facilitate cultural exchange
- Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages, intercultural communication, and more
- Earn HI USA membership and overnights at HI USA hostels

- Have fun while making a difference!
PURPOSE/DEFINITION and HI USA MISSION
HI USA is 501(c)(3) non-profit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people places and cultures for a more tolerant world." As a non-profit, the revenues we receive through overnight stays and memberships is reinvested in mission delivery.
Please note: In order to volunteer in-person at HI USA, you must undergo a criminal background check prior to your first official shift.
