Want to camp for free, work outside, and have a great schedule this summer? USACE Barren River Lake is seeking a Grounds/maintenance volunteer or couple for beautiful Bailey’s Point Campground. Duties consist of basic small-scale maintenance and grounds activities such as removing sticks and limbs from mow areas, litter pick up, and removing ash from firepits. Additional small projects such as painting may be assigned. Hours will mostly focus on weekdays, though some hours may be required on weekends. Potential for various other duties as needed, especially on holidays and special events. A golf cart or slow speed UTV is highly recommended for this position.
Campsite with picnic table, fire ring, lantern hook, and electric/sewer/water hookups will be provided. Applicants must provide their own self-contained camping units in good condition. Volunteers must provide minimum of 25 hours of service every week to qualify.
