Introduction

At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we're passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS volunteers help carry out this mission in so many ways: supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and our community, driving policy advocacy, participating in our campaigns, and helping LLS build much needed capacity.

All LLS volunteers agree to use our volunteer management platform to report service hours, receive email and other communication, access tools, receive LLS updates and use other features relevant to my volunteer role.

Purpose

As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization this role serves to assist with event logistics. The outcomes of this role serve our mission work and help to ensure that the event is a rewarding one for participants and a successful one for LLS. Relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.

Student Visionaries of the Year is one of LLS Illinois' biggest events of the year. This program brings together hundreds of high school students and their families to raise as much money as possible over 7 weeks to fund LLS and it's mission of bringing an end to blood cancer. The Grand Finale event is our way of celebrating the amazing work these students do and where we announce our Student Visionaries of the Year winner!
