Volunteer Role: ReStore Customer Service Volunteer

Time Commitment

  • Duration: 3-6 months
  • Hours: Minimum of 16 hours per week
  • Schedule:

o First week: In-person training

o Following weeks: Four half-days per week (Monday - Thursday), with two days inperson

at the CDC and two days remote from home

Position Responsibilities

Customer Support:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email promptly and professionally.
  • Provide accurate information about products, services, and policies.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues and complaints.

Order Processing:

  • Support order fulfillment, including order entry, tracking, and updates for online-exclusive

products.

  • Process returns and exchanges, updating systems accordingly.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate customer data in CRM systems.
  • Analyze and compile customer feedback and satisfaction metrics.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Assist with filing, documentation, and organizing customer information.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for the customer service team.

Team Support:

  • Collaborate with team members to improve service processes.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product changes and best practices.

Problem-Solving:

  • Identify recurring customer issues and propose solutions.
  • Provide feedback for improving customer service procedures.

Customer Engagement:

  • Assist with customer engagement initiatives, such as surveys and follow-ups.
  • Help create content for FAQs and customer service guides.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CRM software is an asset.
