Did you know that you can raise over $1000 for Scarborough Hospitals with just 2 hours of your time? Join us in this charitable gaming initiative as a Bingo Hall Volunteer!

At Scarborough Health Network (SHN) Foundation, we are committed to shaping the future of care by raising funds to improve the quality of hospitals in Scarborough. We have teamed up with Rama Gaming House - Scarborough as part of their Charitable Gaming program to aid in our fundraising efforts. In return for volunteers assisting them with tasks, a portion of the proceeds from their charity Bingo sessions are granted back to SHN Foundation. Each volunteer helps bring in an average of $1200 per 2 hour session! This is why we need your help.

We are looking for long term, committed volunteers to assist with these charity sessions and represent SHN Foundation.

Address: 991 Kennedy Rd, Scarborough, ON M1P 2K5 (IN PERSON, CANADA ONLY)

About this role:

• Each session is 2 hours
• 2 volunteers must be present
• Arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign in
• Follow dress code of collared SHN Foundation shirt and name tag (provided), and dark pants
• Tidy up (tuck in chairs, wipe down tables and slot machines, discard any trash, return trays, etc.)
• Greet patrons as they enter
• Serve tea and coffee to patrons
• Be polite to customers and provide assistance during bingo sessions when applicable

Requirements:

• Must be 19 years of age or over
• Attend in-person
• Reliable transportation
• Clear communication with volunteer coordinators (confirmation of attendance, notice of absence, etc.)
• Completion of online training modules and in-person orientation
• Ability to stand and walk continuously for the duration of the shift

• Tasks are simple and not strenuous

• You are directly raising money for hospitals in Scarborough, which will make a tremendous impact.
