Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Midtown Family Services

Prevent death from opioid overdoses in San Jose and surrounding communities by distributing free Naloxone HCL Nasal Spray to area bars and restuarants, sharing information on when and how to use Naloxone as you do. Hours are flexible with the caveat that the Naloxone to be distributed must be picked up from our office within our normal working hours - 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday excluding County of Santa Clara Holidays and our Winter Break which runs this Winter from December 21, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Volunteers choose the areas they desire to distribute Naloxone in. Volunteers will record name of bar or restaurant Naloxone is distributed to, address of bar or restaurant, and name of employee accepting the Naloxone. However, volunteers must agree not to record any personally identifiable information of storytellers or their locations if told stories of overdose by anyone. Naloxone may not be sold. Two boxes, with literature, per location.
