Texas Federation of the People Foundation Inc. (TXFPF) is a reentry organization dedicated to supporting individuals transitioning back into society after incarceration. Through advocacy, resources, and programs, TXFPF empowers individuals and families with the tools to rebuild their lives and contribute to their communities.
Position Summary:TXFPF Inc. is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Fundraiser to secure financial resources that support our reentry programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about social justice, highly skilled in donor engagement, and experienced in fundraising strategies. This role involves building relationships with donors, organizing fundraising events, writing grants, and spearheading campaigns to ensure the sustainability of our mission.
Key Responsibilities:1. Fundraising Strategy and Execution- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to support TXFPF’s reentry initiatives.
- Research and identify new funding sources, including individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Track fundraising goals and provide regular updates to the Executive Director and board.
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Create personalized donor communications, including thank-you letters, newsletters, and impact reports.
- Develop strategies to retain existing donors and re-engage lapsed supporters.
- Research and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other sources.
- Maintain an organized grant calendar and ensure timely submission of applications and reports.
- Plan and execute fundraising events, including benefit dinners, community drives, and online campaigns.
- Work with the team to design and manage crowdfunding and digital fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with the communications team to promote campaigns and events across various platforms.
- Monitor fundraising performance, prepare detailed reports, and analyze campaign success.
- Ensure accurate donor record-keeping and compliance with tax and legal regulations.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM or donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect).
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field.
- Knowledge of reentry services, criminal justice reform, or second-chance programs.
- Experience organizing large-scale fundraising events or managing major donor portfolios.
- Familiarity with social media and digital fundraising strategies.
