Volunteer Opportunity: Executive Board Member
The One Life Project is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Executive Board Members. This role is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on mental health advocacy, education, and systemic change for youth and young adults nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend 4-7 board meetings annually (virtual or in-person).
  • Contribute approximately 3-5 hours of work per month, including preparation for meetings, strategic planning, and project review. All work and meetings are virtual.
  • Collaborate with fellow board members to guide the organization’s vision, mission, and strategy.
  • Provide insight, feedback, and expertise to support the One Life Project’s initiatives, events, and programs.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization, promoting its mission within your personal and professional networks.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
  • Passion for mental health advocacy and youth empowerment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Professional experience in leadership, nonprofit management, education, public relations, finance, or related fields (preferred but not required).
  • A willingness to contribute time, energy, and expertise to help drive The One Life Project’s success.

The One Life Project works to build and create a kinder world where we educate, advocate for, and support teens, college students, and young adults who are struggling with mental health in the hopes of preventing suicide in young people and ending the stigma that surrounds mental health.

The One Life Project is dedicated to empowering and uplifting teens and young adults through mental health education, advocacy, and support. Our mission is to break down barriers, challenge stigmas, and foster a culture where every young person feels seen, heard, and supported in their mental health journey. We strive to provide education, support, and an environment that equips youth with the knowledge and tools to navigate life's challenges, build resilience, and foster emotional well-being. Through dynamic advocacy initiatives, we aim to create systemic change, ensuring that mental health support is accessible, destigmatized, and integrated into every school and community in the country.
