Volunteer Opportunity: Administrative Assistant for Arts In CT
Organization: Arts In CT
Location: Remote (with occasional in-person opportunities if local)
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per day (flexible)
Overview:
Arts In CT, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching communities through the arts, has served over 60,000 people across diverse programs. We are seeking a Volunteer Administrative Assistant to support critical organizational tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, outreach, and working behind the scenes to support impactful arts programs.
Responsibilities:
- Email Management: Organize and prioritize emails sent to info@artsinct.org, ensuring timely responses and clear follow-ups.
- Mailing List Maintenance: Distribute surveys to contacts, gather feedback, and update the mailing list as needed.
- School Outreach: Create and send informational content to school districts about Arts In CT’s offerings, enabling them to make informed decisions about partnerships.
- Content Writing: Collaborate on creating content for the Arts In CT website and the new program catalog to promote services and events effectively.
- Sponsor Engagement: Assist in identifying, contacting, and building relationships with potential sponsors. Tasks include making calls, sending letters, and advocating for Arts In CT’s initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Arts In CT’s administrator and team to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing emails and creating written content.
- Basic knowledge of data entry and record-keeping.
- Confidence in making professional phone calls and handling outreach activities.
- Familiarity with the arts is a plus but not required.
Additional Projects:
- Contribute to content creation for the Arts In CT website to ensure an engaging and informative online presence.
- Assist in drafting materials for the new catalog, showcasing Arts In CT’s extensive offerings.
