About Us:

Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation is dedicated to the protection of butterflies and restoration of their native habitats through conservation, public education and research.

We aim to make a difference through education and habitat restoration to protect our native environment.

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help secure funding for our programs and initiatives. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to expand outreach, education, and conservation efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Research potential grant opportunities aligned with our mission and goals.
• Write compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry tailored to specific funders.
• Collaborate with the team to gather data, program details, and supporting documents for proposals.
• Maintain accurate records of grant applications, deadlines, and follow-up requirements.
• Assist in writing reports to funders on the outcomes of funded projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience in grant writing or a related field preferred but not required.
• Ability to research and synthesize information effectively.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Passion for environmental conservation
