Position Overview: Orisha Wholeness is seeking a passionate, visionary, and dynamic individual to join our leadership team as President of Orisha Wholeness Corp. This is a volunteer, leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operations of the organization. As President, you will work closely with the Board of Directors and our network of wholeness facilitators to ensure we are effectively meeting our mission of promoting healthy living in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Vision: Lead the organization in achieving its mission of promoting healthy lifestyles through dance, fitness, and wellness activities. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set strategic goals and guide organizational growth.
• Community Engagement: Foster relationships with community partners, funders, and volunteers to expand our reach and impact. Advocate for the organization in public forums and engage the community in meaningful ways.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of Orisha Wholeness Corp. This includes managing staff and facilitators, ensuring that programs are delivered with quality and accessibility in mind, and overseeing logistical coordination.
• Program Development: Support the development and delivery of wellness programs that are inclusive, innovative, and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve. Work with facilitators to create impactful, engaging, and fun experiences for participants.
• Financial Sustainability: Oversee fundraising efforts, grant writing, and donor relations to ensure the organization’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Help secure funding to maintain and expand our programs.
• Team Building: Inspire and support a team of dedicated volunteers, facilitators, and board members. Provide guidance and mentorship to help team members achieve their full potential. Foster a positive, welcoming, and motivating environment for participants and staff.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, wellness, or a related field.
• Strong commitment to health, wellness, and community empowerment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Some experience in fundraising and grant writing,
• Extensive experience in community engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Passion for creating inclusive, accessible wellness opportunities for diverse populations.

Position Details:

• Term: 2-year leadership position, with the opportunity to reapply after the term ends.
• Commitment: Volunteer position with flexible hours. Time commitment varies based on ongoing projects and organizational needs.

Location: Remote/Various locations, with occasional travel required for meetings and events
