Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of incarcerated people? Join San Quentin SkunkWorks, where innovation meets transformation, and help redefine what rehabilitation can look like.
You’ll play a vital role in facilitating Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons sessions while also supporting the logistical and interpersonal elements that make our events impactful.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Gaming Sessions (Optional): Facilitate tabletop games that inspire teamwork, creativity, and growth.
- Coordinate Event Logistics: Assist with bringing supplies (like food from Costco), processing game donations, and setting up events.
- Support Guests and Stakeholders: Help explain prison protocols to community members, media, foundations, and celebrity guests.
- Build Connections: Act as a bridge between incarcerated participants and visitors, fostering meaningful interactions that drive reform.
What We’re Looking For:
- Availability the first Friday of each month from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with occasional prep tasks.
- People passionate about prison reform, mentorship, and creating safe, welcoming spaces for all.
- Strong communicators and team players who can manage logistics and engage with incarcerated people, and other stakeholders.
