We are based in Olympia, WA but have a few opportunities in the Seattle area to lead technology education for some local nonprofits, both for the staff and the community member they serve.

Examples include:

-coding clubs for youth

-basic digital skills training (how to use a computer, how to use email)

-I.T. and cybersecurity training

-more!

If you are a patient, kind facilitator for some kind of technology-related skill, let's get in touch and talk about how you could teach with us! We'll match you up with the curriculum and cause that's the best fit for you.

About Triceratops Technology Resources

Location:

400 Union Ave SE Suite 232, Olympia, WA 98501, US

Mission Statement

Triceratops Technology Resources empowers community organizations through technology solutions. We build, fix, and educate to enhance their ability to make a positive impact.

Description

Triceratops Technology Resources provides assistance with website, office IT and other computer issues for charities and anybody doing good work that is held back by technology. Examples include training, website development or support, application onboarding or development, or any other needs that Triceratops has the means to provide. An important element of this work is that it must be available at low or no cost to client programs.

To realize this goal, Triceratops seeks funding through grants and private donations and keeps costs low by leveraging skilled volunteer resources in addition to dedicated employee hours. Triceratops seeks out and defines consulting, teaching and development tasks in a way that professional and amateur engineers can pick up and work on under the management of Triceratops project leaders. With this model, we can facilitate mentorship between established professionals and students while providing opportunities for students to take on small, supervised, but legitimate technology work, such as simple webpage layout work or low-level computer skills training, while experienced engineers seeking to make a positive impact can advise on consulting and take on more complex development work without having to seek out volunteer opportunities on their own.
