ORGANIZATION: AccentCare Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Our hospice organization needs compassionate volunteers to provide friendly companionship visits to our patients. Being a hospice volunteer is simple, yet profoundly rewarding. There is no medical or personal care involved - just caring from your heart.

Visits are based on your schedule.

You will receive extensive support and training from our organization. YOU can make a difference by.........

  • Providing companionship (from simple conversations to exploring deep feelings)
  • Reading aloud or listening to music together
  • Looking at photos together and sharing memories (life review)
  • Journaling (helping the patient record their history)
  • Watching movies or playing games
  • Helping with children
  • Sharing a quiet moment
  • Simply being present

The possibilities are endless on how you can make the patient's day better.

If this is something you'd be interested in volunteering for and you want to make a difference in someone's life, fill out a volunteer application today at www.accentcare.com. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Wahrmund at lisawahrmund@accentcare.com or call 210-471-2300
