Job Description:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Outreach Manager to expand STEM Canada’s reach and engagement within diverse communities. As a part-time volunteer, you will work remotely, building partnerships with schools, organizations, and local communities to promote our STEM programs and recruit participants. Your skills in community engagement, relationship building, and program coordination will be vital in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for STEM learning.
Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase awareness and participation in STEM Canada’s programs.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, nonprofits, community groups, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and coordinate outreach events, workshops, and informational sessions to engage communities and promote STEM education.
- Create and distribute promotional materials to support outreach initiatives.
- Collect and analyze feedback from participants and partners to improve outreach efforts and program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all outreach activities.
- Represent STEM Canada at community events, conferences, and meetings to build relationships and advocate for STEM education.
Qualifications:
- Experience in community engagement, outreach, or program coordination preferred.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative and strategic thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Passion for promoting STEM education and supporting diverse communities.
- Understanding cultural diversity and inclusivity practices is a plus.
