Purpose Statement:

This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Volunteer Services (VS) department, specifically the Regional Support and Training unit. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home) position. The National Volunteer Relations Team Member focuses on providing technical support to Regional Volunteer Services Officers (RVSOs) and Regional Volunteer Relations Team Members related to the Concern Connection Line (CCL) and field reported volunteer relations issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and coordination for Regional Volunteer Relations Leads
  • Maintain confidentiality of individuals and documentation as outlined in HR guidance, Volunteer Handbook, and Investigation Procedures
  • Ensure proper documentation of all assigned cases; including Investigation Reports, written statements and other pertinent information.
  • Act as a consultant to support regions when they receive and address reports of inappropriate behavior, acts, or conditions through appropriate lines of authority
  • Maintain tracking system for all consults and cases.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually.
  • Experience: 3 years of progressive experience providing human resources consulting/resolution/issue resolution guidance and/or support in a volunteer setting. Track record of successfully facilitating others in resolving complex interpersonal issues.
  • Management Experience: 3 years demonstrated abilities in building consensus, working with volunteers, coaching, and training.
  • Experience in collaborative approaches to achieving organizational success.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office software, including Word and Excel
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in human resources, business management, education administration, or organizational development
  • Skills: Objective listening skills, ability to objectively investigate allegations and document situation, provide recommendations and report actions taken to close cases.
  • Knowledge: Basic HR grievance practices, Volunteer Management Administration
  • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies.

Length of Apptmt: 12 months, renewable upon mutual agreemen
