At Yuvoice, we’re committed to building a platform that fosters community, inclusivity, and meaningful connections. We are looking for a Director of Belonging to drive our mission of creating a sense of belonging for all members of our organization and platform. This is a pivotal leadership role that will work across teams to implement strategies and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) both internally and externally. You’ll be the voice advocating for inclusivity in everything we do, ensuring that everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and execute the organizational strategy for belonging, inclusion, and diversity that aligns with Yuvoice’s mission and values.
• Lead efforts to foster an inclusive organizational culture, working with team leads to create a safe and empowering environment for all employees and volunteers.
• Design and implement initiatives that support marginalized communities and elevate underrepresented voices within the Yuvoice ecosystem.
• Collaborate with teams across departments to ensure DEI principles are embedded in every aspect of Yuvoice’s operations, content, and external initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support for internal and external training, workshops, and educational opportunities related to inclusion, belonging, and cultural competency.
• Manage the organization’s inclusion metrics and track progress against key diversity goals, providing regular updates to the executive team and stakeholders.
• Act as an internal consultant on issues of belonging, diversity, and inclusion, offering thought leadership and providing practical, actionable advice.
• Partner with HR and People & Culture to ensure our recruitment, onboarding, and development practices are equitable and inclusive.
• Engage with the wider community, seeking feedback and insight on our belonging strategy to refine and improve our initiatives.

Who you are:

• A passionate advocate for belonging and inclusion, with at least 7+ years of experience in a senior DEI role or similar leadership position.
• A strategic thinker who can design and execute large-scale initiatives that create measurable impact.
• Deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized groups and a strong commitment to creating systemic change.
• A collaborative leader with the ability to work across all levels of the organization, creating buy-in for DEI strategies.
• Strong communication skills, able to influence, educate, and inspire a wide range of stakeholders.
• A track record of successfully implementing DEI initiatives that have led to tangible improvements in organizational culture and employee satisfaction.
• Highly adaptable and forward-thinking, with a passion for continuously evolving DEI strategies in response to emerging trends and feedback.
• Passionate about Yuvoice’s mission to uplift marginalized voices and inspire real-world change.
