We are a new rescue in search of a Marketing volunteer to help us raise awareness of our rescue as well as increase our donor base. A general description would be the following but we are open to suggestions if the general goal could be achieved. A "Marketing Volunteer" would be responsible for: Key Responsibilities:

• Content Creation:
  • Develop engaging content for the rescue's website, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) including compelling dog profiles with photos and videos, adoption success stories, and updates on rescue activities.
  • Write compelling copy for newsletters, press releases, and marketing materials highlighting the importance of adoption and the benefits of rescuing a dog.
• Social Media Management:
  • Strategically schedule posts across various social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Run targeted social media campaigns to reach potential adopters and donors.
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages promptly.
• Community Outreach:
  • Coordinate and participate in adoption events at local pet stores, community fairs, and other high-traffic locations.
  • Collaborate with local media outlets to promote the rescue through news segments, interviews, and features.
  • Build relationships with local businesses to secure potential partnerships and sponsorships.
• Email Marketing:
  • Manage email subscriber lists and create targeted email campaigns to promote adoption events, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer opportunities.
• Fundraising Support:
  • Develop marketing materials and campaigns to encourage donations from individuals and corporate sponsors.
  • Assist with thank you letters to send to those who donate.
  • Assist in planning fundraising events and managing online donation platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and marketing strategies
• Passion for animal welfare and a deep understanding of dog rescue operations
• Graphic design skills are a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
