Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the American Red Cross responds to each year are local, personal disasters like home fires affecting one or two families. They may not make the news, but we know they are just as devastating to the families affected. That is why we not only respond, but also educate children from our local communities on how to prepare for an emergency. Join the local Solano team and participate in our Prepare with Pedro presentations; the 30-45-minute presentation provides emergency preparedness education to youth in grades K-2 (ages 4-7) in school classrooms and other settings by following Pedro the Penguin as he learns how to be prepared and take action during an emergency.

Weekday Availability (7:30am-3:30pm)
