1329 Macklind AveSt. Louis, MO 63110

You can help a refugee from a war-torn country or oppressive government reach their most desired goal - TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. Our volunteers tutor homebound elderly and disabled in the English and Civics necessary to pass the citizenship exam. You do NOT have to speak any language other than English and do not need any prior teaching experience. It only takes an hour or two per week.

The legal residents we serve cannot benefit from classroom instruction, are homebound, and are not very familiar with US culture and laws. Your involvement will make them feel better understood and help them to understand US culture better. Your patience and kindness will leave a lasting memory, an improved ability to communicate, and greater independence.

Most of our clients reside in South St. Louis and South County; however, we also have clients in University City and Chesterfield.
