Position Overview:
The Biomedical Research Methods Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching the principles of biomedical research, including study design, data analysis, and ethical considerations in research.
Location: Remote
Start Time: Jan 6, 2025
Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Simulation Support: Assist in conducting virtual simulations on study designs, hypothesis testing, and data interpretation.
- Teaching Support: Facilitate discussions, and group activities, and assist with course materials on research methodologies and best practices.
- Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student records.
- Student Assistance: Provide clarification and support for students’ understanding of experimental techniques, data analysis, and research ethics.
- Resource Development: Help develop educational materials, including research case studies and tools for critical analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Research Methods, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
- Strong understanding of biomedical research principles and methodologies.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
- Ability to communicate complex research topics effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
