Events Coordinator Position for Charleston MINI Club (CMC)
The CMC Events Coordinator plays a vital role in planning, organizing, and executing club events while representing member interests to the Board of Directors. This volunteer position requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for the MINI community.
Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning and Coordination
- Plan and coordinate local CMC events and assist with National and Regional events as needed
- Promote and seek Board approval for regional events such as corrals, multi-club events, and model-specific gatherings
- Ensure timely submission of necessary event forms, agreements, and information as required by the Operations Manual and club officers
Representation and Communication
- Represent CMC and its members to the National Board regarding National and Regional events
- Act as the primary contact for members and affiliates interested in events
- Review club newsletters and flyers for content relevant to affiliations and the local organization
Financial Management
- Manage discretionary funds of $200 per quarter ($800 annually) for CMC events, subject to budget approval
- Utilize an annual travel allowance of $1,000 for official CMC business within the club
- Report all discretionary fund disbursements at subsequent Board meetings
Club Growth and Support
- Promote club growth and provide assistance where possible
- Collaborate with other club officers and affiliations to enhance event experiences
The ideal Events Coordinator candidate should possess:
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creativity and enthusiasm for event planning
- Familiarity with the MINI community and car culture
- Basic budgeting and financial management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
