Treasurer Position for Charleston MINI Club (CMC)
The CMC Treasurer plays a critical role in maintaining the financial health and transparency of the organization. This volunteer position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong financial management skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight
- Monitor the club's financial matters and provide strategic financial guidance to the Board of Directors
- Review and analyze annual operating plans and budgets
- Assess budget implementation and effectiveness
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports within 45 days of each fiscal quarter
Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Develop the Annual Budget in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Provide quarterly budget projections and actual performance comparisons
- Present a detailed financial report at the Annual Meeting
Financial Management
- Manage club funds by:
- Maintaining accounts in U.S. federally insured institutions
- Investing excess funds consistent with the club's risk tolerance
- Ensuring proper consultation before significant financial moves
Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain open communication with Executive Director, President, and Vice President
- Address membership questions about financial matters
- Attend local meetings to provide financial guidance
- Support fundraising efforts and ensure financial integrity
